Featuring a reverse-level layout, the heart of this wonderful retreat is the full-length living space with a vaulted ceiling overhead, featuring stone walls and wooden floorboards creating a welcoming atmosphere full of rustic charm. Relax on comfortable sofa seating whilst Rover snoozes in front of the warming wood burner or gather around the spacious dining table to plan the next day's activities over a delicious meal prepared in the well-equipped kitchen. Alternatively, dine alfresco in the patio garden, making the most of the gas BBQ on a warm summer evening and watch Fido happily explore the fully enclosed borders. When it comes time to retire to bed or basket, three attractive ground-floor bedrooms await; a charming master with its own en-suite shower room and a king bed; an inviting double with a super-king-size bed; and a bunk room with a double base bed that children are sure to adore. A stylish family bathroom completes this lovely holiday home.

The cottage is part of a complex located on a friendly working farm, and you'll find both a children's play area and several beautiful fishing lakes on site. Watergate Bay, one of Cornwall's best-known and most loved beaches, lies less than a mile from your door. Stroll down the hill to enjoy a day of seaside fun building sandcastles, rock pooling, swimming and sunbathing on this glorious beach that welcomes four-legged friends year-round. The popular beachside town of Newquay is 3.5 miles away, and though it may be best known as the surfing capital of England, there’s much more to the town than beaches. Make sure to sample a traditional Cornish pasty, sparing a nibble for the hound, or take your pup on a journey back in time with a steam train ride at Newquay’s Lappa Valley. The railway has large fields at the top of the valley where dogs can be let off the lead for a run, you'll find water bowls located around the site and there's even a doggy biscuit or two available!

Lovely stay at Mowhay barn. Lots of space for the 5 of us and 2 dogs Location great for many beaches Hosts very welcoming and always available. Great stay thank you!

Lovely spacious barn tucked out the way of the hustle and bustle. Perfect for our family with two dogs. The barn was well equipped and an ideal way to relax. There is an airport near by but this did not bother us at all. I would be happy to stay again.

The accommodation suited us really well with children and dogs. We were provided with a travel cot, stair gate and high chair which was perfect. The site itself is very near Mawgan airport but dont let that put you off. Its small and there arent many planes using it but our grandchildren loved seeing them. The lakes are fantastic - great for fishinRead moreg and wonderful to walk round. You can have online shopping delivered. Watergate Bay is 5 mins one way and Mawgan Porth 5 mins the other. Perfect. This beautiful barn was the perfect home to us for a week while we visited Cornwall, with easy access to Watergate Bay, Mawgan Bay and Newquay. The owners were super friendly and very accommodating, inviting the kids to feed the lambs. The farm is next to Cornwall airport, but apart from a few planes going over during the day, this not disruptive aRead morend barely noticeable.
