If you’re after an outward-bound holiday with up to two doggy friends in tow, this apartment is a great option in terms of comfort, location and versatility. With a zip-and-link king-size bed that can be made into two singles and a sofa bed in the studio-style living area, it can suit two friends or a couple on a romantic break. Set within the grounds of a community-run pub and cafe in the picturesque village of Bamford, this property is within the Peak District National Park.

The one-bed apartment is accessed down some steps. The accommodation is small but definitely perfectly formed. The open-plan living area is divided up neatly, with the lounge at one end complete with comfortable sofa and Smart TV. Behind that, the fitted kitchen has all you’ll need for self-catering endeavours (although with a pub on hand those might be few and far between!) and a table seating four to enjoy your efforts. The space works well and has a cosy feel. The superking-size bedroom is bright and spacious, with calming decor hopefully guaranteeing a great night’s sleep. The modern shower room tops it all off. In warm weather, canine chums will love the cool, wood-style flooring after a satisfying walkies. While there’s no garden as such, you can sit on a picnic bench at the pub and enjoy the views.

The pub on your doorstep is dog-friendly and serves food for those nights when you can’t be bothered to cook. Take the lead and head off on foot or bike to explore the wonderful Peak District, its nature and pretty towns. Within 2 miles, you’ll find Ladybower Reservoir and Bamford Edge offering climbing and walking routes with stunning views.

Great location in middle of Bamford. Good overall size for 2 humans and a small dog. Very comfy, large bed. Reasonably well equipped , enjoyed our stay.

Very noisy location, only window opens out onto busy road constant traffic from around 5.30 am , couldn't keep the window closed as it was nearly 30 degrees even with the window open , lots of noise from the pub below too this didn't stop until 1.40 am . Large area of damp and mould in bathroom, which also smelt damp and mouldy , left after 2 days

Really great spacious and comfortable studio. Great location and the adjacent pub The Anglers Arms is very friendly and welcoming.

If you don't mind loud music (base) until late (1am), then this is the place for you. No dvd player to enable you to watch anything worthwhile while being kept awake. The area is OK but location of the property is over a main road which adds to the noise, especially at night. The property was OK but furniture uncomfortable, shower quite small, and Read moreaccess steps quite steep & slippery. Good off road parking facilities. Hide

Lovely little place , perfect for Peak District hiking etc . Perfect for couples that want a place to kick off their boots at the end of a hard day , grab a shower and just chill , either on the sofa or literally next door in the pub .

A good base to explore the Peak district. Perfectly clean, adequately equipped and comfortable enough for a holiday break. The outside stairs to the front door are a challenge to those (like us) past their prime. Warm morning showers are a matter of patience, because all hot water has to come out from the main building. Great location, well equipped, enjoyed our stay. Bonus being above pub / cafe, didn't try the pub food but cake and coffee from cafe were lovely.
