Most dogs love the seaside, so why not bring a furry friend or two to make magical memories with you on holiday in the Norfolk village of Sea Palling. This four-bed cottage boasts a really traditional and cosy vibe with rustic features like wood beams, exposed brick and floorboards which marry seamlessly with modern convenience, comfort and design. It’s also really versatile, suiting a larger family or group of friends. Just don’t forget that bucket and spade!
Entering this charming property, towel off wet and sandy paws (or feet) in the useful hallway. Then, sink into a comfortable sofa in the welcoming lounge with its ceiling beams, wood floors and wood burner for chillier months. Around the corner, the dining area has a wooden table easily seating seven. Take it in turns to cook up a holiday feast in the modern fitted kitchen that’s got everything you’ll need for self-catering days. Four bedrooms await upstairs, and with two doubles, a twin and a single, there’s room for everyone. They’re all really calming spaces, perfect for a great night’s sleep. They share one contemporary bathroom complete with a bath for holiday luxuriating. There’s a courtyard garden with seating for evening tipples and al fresco dinners.
With a local pub (dog-friendly, naturally) serving home-made food just 0.1 miles away and the beach 0.3 miles away, you and your canine companions are pretty well set. Do check what restrictions might apply for dogs during summer months, however. Sea Palling also has a shop and post office plus cafes. At certain times of year, Horsey Gap (4 miles) hosts seals and their pups. The quaint city of Norwich is 19.5 miles away and would be a great contrast to your seaside retreat. Stock up on supplies, shop or admire its medieval buildings and history.
