Get away to the seaside with a stay in this welcoming converted stable where dog-friendly beaches, marvellous local cafes and pubs and entertainment for all the family are just minutes away. Whether you want a holiday of pure relaxation or are in search of an adventure with your canine companion by your side walking the South West Coast Path, North Devon has it all.
Retaining the charm of its origins as a stable, this cottage has characterful high ceilings and exposed beams with modern features throughout. The open-plan living space is the perfect place to unwind and relax next to the crackling wood burner, watching a film on the Smart TV. Behind the living areas is the spacious kitchen/diner, with a dining table to seat eight for a fabulous feast. All four of the bedrooms are accessible from the hall, starting with the king-size room which has a feature wall, and a Jack and Jill en-suite bathroom which is shared with one of the twin rooms. The second king-size room has an en-suite wet room also be accessed from the hall. Finally, another twin room has a private en-suite bathroom. Outside, the private courtyard is a haven for those on two legs and four, with outdoor seating and a BBQ for those summer evenings. Unwind in the bubbling hot tub as the sun sets, or head to the shared play barn which offers activities such as pool, table tennis and an indoor heated plunge pool (for use between April and October).
Only 1.5 miles from the property sits the centre of Westward Ho! where an array of cafes, restaurants and pubs serve up local produce and tasty cakes, with dogs welcome to join you. The 2-mile stretch of beach has dog-friendly areas all year round. Further afield, the fishing village of Appledore has pastel-coloured houses lining the streets and a selection of small independent shops to visit.
