Take a romantic trip to the beautiful Peak District and stay in this charming stone annexe. There’s room for a couple and their dog, and an additional trundle bed for a child can be included if you choose. You’ll have access to great shared gardens and be able to enjoy rural life.
This property has a lovely lounge to cosy up rainy days, with a wood burner to make things extra snuggly. It’s a great spot to read or organise board games for a quiet afternoon. Next door is the combined kitchen/diner, and the table is situated next to a large window for excellent views with breakfast. You’ll find a super-king-size bedroom which can be modified to include an additional bed for your child, if you’d like to make this a family holiday. There’s access to a private patio, and a garden which you share with the owner. There are lots of great features, including a shared BBQ and fire pit for sausages and marshmallows, and you can meet the goats and ducks who live in the garden. Finally, enjoy splashing around in the brook which runs through the garden.
You’ll be staying in the Peak District National Park, so expect plenty of hills to climb and you can start walks right from the doorstep. History enthusiasts will enjoy the ruined castle Throwley Old Hall, 4.5 miles away, where dogs are welcome to sniff about, or visit Thor’s Cave (6 miles) which has a nice cafe and beautiful scenery – but no Norse gods. If you’d like to get creative, take a trip to Stoke-on-Trent (17.5 miles) which is famed for its pottery.
