Spend some quality time with family, friends plus your canine chum in the charming back garden or sunny conservatory of this three-bed holiday home, just relaxing into your stay and making magic memories. It’s set in a tranquil part of the Sussex village of Alfriston overlooking the village green but, being situated within the South Downs National Park, the house also has access to lots of great walking paths – heaven for outdoorsy types and dogs alike!
Keep your doggy towels in the handy porch for wiping potentially mucky paws as you enter this impressive house. The bright and airy lounge has plenty of comfortable seating for watching TV, reading or merely thinking about your holiday itinerary. Next door is a more open-plan dining area, complete with a cosy wood burner and a table easily seating six for those communal holiday feasts knocked up by the chef of the day in the smart fitted kitchen with all mod cons. This leads into the conservatory extension with another table for six. Two doubles and one twin bedroom are spacious and individually decorated in calming tones with pops of colour and antique furnishings. The fully enclosed rear garden has deluxe outdoor furniture on the patio, as well as extensive lawns and a BBQ – perfect for summer nights.
The South Downs offer miles of walking trails so why not lead the way to adventure. Or head to the village shops, pubs and tearooms (within 500 metres). The National Trust’s Alfriston Clergy House is also in the village but dogs aren’t permitted, so will have to miss out on that one. Or visit Seaford (4.5 miles) with its long shingle beach, large parts of which are dog friendly – but do check before you let your canine chum go mutts off the lead!
