Finally, the second floor features a beamed super-king-size room in the eaves of the house, with a Smart TV, en-suite shower room and skylights. From the kitchen, steps lead up to a raised, enclosed garden. The lawn has space for dogs to exercise, and there’s a BBQ and outdoor furniture, providing a lovely spot for dining on a sunny afternoon. A tap and hose are on hand for washing muddy paws.
Appledore has a choice of dog-friendly pubs, cafes and restaurants along the quayside and dotted along the village’s narrow streets. Your canine pals can join you at the North Devon Maritime Museum or you can head across the river by ferry to the pet-welcoming beach of Instow. Dogs can also help you explore Northam Burrows Country Park and its dog-friendly beach. Bideford and Westward Ho! are both within 2 miles.
