Explore the magnificent Lake District with your furry walking companion by your side. This delightful, three-bedroom, stone cottage sleeps six people and also welcomes four-legged guests. Set at the heart of bustling Keswick, it has a pretty, courtyard garden and a cosy wood burner to return home to with your contented canine at the end of each exciting adventure.
Take a step up and call your pal inside with you to discover attractive accommodation with an abundance of period character. Head through to the light-filled lounge to stoke up the wood burner and settle down in front of the Smart TV while your chum stretches out and day dreams about his latest walk. Make your way through to the dining room to open the French doors on warm days so he can pad out into the fresh air. Take a step down from here into the kitchen, which also has a door to the garden, when it’s time to feed your furry friend and the rest of your party. There is also a WC and utility space here. Climb part-way up the stairs to find a bathroom with a roll top bath and a separate shower room with WC and venture all the way up to discover two double bedrooms and a twin. Take your fury friend out into the sunny garden with you when you dine outside. There is also a useful hose out here for rinsing his muddy paws under, and secure storage for cycles. Parking is on the road, subject to availability.
Plan expeditions through the beautiful surrounding countryside, then return to Keswick for a hearty meal in a pup-friendly pub. For a gentle stroll, amble 1.5 miles to see the Castlerigg Stone Circle. More energetic hounds might enjoy the challenge of the scenic, 10-mile loop that takes you all the way round picturesque Derwentwater.
