Stay at this cosy Scottish cottage for a relaxing break with friends or family and your beloved pets. It sleeps up to six humans and two dogs, and is located in a beautiful rural spot about 3.5 miles north of Lockerbie, where you’ll find dog-friendly pubs and independent shops to explore. In the surrounding area, there are miles of gorgeous walking trails you can sniff out with your pet, who’ll love doing the detective work on all the local rabbit trails. After a long day in the fresh air, relax by the wood burner where Fido will enjoy lounging out warming his fur.
The cottage has an open-plan lounge-diner for relaxing as a group, perhaps doing some reading or watching the Smart TV. Your dog will love lounging in front of the roaring wood burner on chilly evenings. A handy utility area off the lounge takes care of laundry, and leads to the downstairs shower room. The modern kitchen is separated from the living area with glass bi-folding doors. You can enjoy lovely views over the garden from the kitchen. Wooden floors throughout the dwelling make it easy to sweep up any dog hair and Fido can always be part of the action. The large, enclosed garden is excellent for your pet to let off some steam. Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, while the third is located up the spiral staircase.
During your stay, you can spend the morning wandering around Lockerbie before taking your furry friend for a walk in the nearby Eskrigg Reserve (5 miles). Another great option is to bundle the dog in the car and head to the Solway Firth, 15 miles away, where you’ll find 200 miles of wildlife and unspoilt sandy beaches that will please two-legged and four-legged guests alike.
