The cottage is set within a large farm, just outside Bala on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. The romantic retreat sleeps two guests and one pup and is the perfect place to switch off and recharge. There are also some excellent pup-friendly attractions nearby, including Bala Lake Railway (8.5 miles).
The stone country cottage has a home-away-from-home vibe, with cosy soft furnishings and subtle lighting. Spend quality time together in the lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can share meals at the table for two, followed by a movie night in front of the Smart TV. The cottage has hard floors throughout, making it nice and easy to deal with the odd muddy pawprint. Upstairs, you’ll find an inviting double bedroom and a stylish bathroom. The enclosed patio enjoys far-reaching views and is a beautiful spot for Fido to take an afternoon siesta and you to dine alfresco. You and the hound are also welcome to explore the footpaths on the farm surrounding the property.
Bala is a friendly market town, bursting with Welsh culture and heritage. The town has welcomed walkers and their canine sidekicks for generations, and many of the local eateries happily allow four-pawed diners. The landscape surrounding the town is spectacular, with the mountain ranges of Aran, Arenig, and Berwyn all within 20 miles. These ranges are often quieter than those in the north of the national park, allowing you to escape the crowds and appreciate the region’s peace and tranquillity. There are some fabulous walks around Bala Lake (3.5 miles), offering fantastic views, and from here, you can also hop on the dog-friendly steam train to visit Llanuwchllyn.
