Bideford (3 miles) is situated on the banks of the River Torridge and has an historic, twice-weekly pannier market as well as shops, cafes and restaurants. Follow the Heritage Trail along its cobbled streets to discover more about this delightful town. From here, you and your pets can join the Tarka Trail, a 180-mile traffic-free path that passes through North Devon’s beautiful countryside and spectacular coastal scenery. Although dogs are restricted on some parts of the beach at Westward Ho! (7.5 miles), in summer months, a large area of this vast expanse of sea and sand is open for you and your furry friends to enjoy together.
