You can pick up the South West Coast Path at nearby Jubilee Gardens, from which you can roam along the coast, exploring rock pools, sandy coves and smugglers’ caves. Set tails wagging with a wander around Ilfracombe Harbour, then sniff out some doggy treats in the many dog-friendly pubs and eateries around town. Your dogs will love the sandy beaches of Woolacombe (7 miles) and Saunton Sands (10.5 miles), which both welcome dogs all year round.
