Animal lovers rejoice with a stay in this fabulous lodge that’s entirely dog-friendly and located on a horse-riding school’s estate. With delightful scenery, exceptional amounts of outdoor space and modern features within, this Herefordshire property promises an unforgettable retreat for two guests and two beloved furry friends. The owners have taken as much care to welcome dogs as they have humans, complete with a host of doggy must-haves available for use including towels, blankets, crates and a kennel. Although dogs must be kept on a lead due to the grazing livestock, they’re sure to love the sense of openness and freedom that comes with a stay in this one-of-a-kind rural retreat.
On arrival, wander past your BBQ, outdoor seating area and wood-fired hot tub – an exceptional place to soak after a long day of riding or dog walking. Once inside you’ll find extremely cosy interiors for resting and recharging. The open-plan living space features soft seating with a Smart TV, so curl up at each day’s end and chose a favourite film whilst your pups gently doze off in their beds. You can leave your pets to sleep in here as you retire to the king-size bedroom, discovering a sumptuous sleigh bed ready to welcome your dog-tired body for a restful 8-hours.
A true rural destination, you’ll need to travel 4 miles to reach your nearest town, the traditional town of Bromyard. Discover the National Trust-maintained Brockhampton nearby (5.5 miles), a historic estate where pets are welcome to join you in exploring the gardens and parkland. Set tails wagging with a trip to the Malvern Hills AONB, the northern point of the area being just 4 miles away. Find beautiful meadows, woodlands and orchards at the Knapp and Papermill Nature Reserve (7 miles), a wonderful spot for Rover to excitedly chase wildlife along waymarked pathways.
