Experience rural living within the grounds of a wonderful private estate near the River Deveron. Sleeping six people across three bedrooms, round up your friends and family for a relaxing holiday with your pup.

Pack the food bowls, treats and toys and head to this charming cottage in the Aberdeenshire countryside. Kick off your walking boots and marvel at the enchanting lounge. Offering a cosy atmosphere, the living room invites frosty toes to bathe in front of the warming wood burner while you stroke your pup to sleep. Venture into the fully-equipped, pretty kitchen to put together a delicious feast for your two-legged and four-legged friends. When it’s time to serve up, use the conservatory to watch your pal pad the stunning grounds while you crack open a bottle or two. On the first floor, soak aching muscles in the roll-top bath before jumping into crisp linens in one of the three beautifully-appointed bedrooms. One twin and two king-size bedrooms await weary heads. When it’s time to rise, stick the kettle on, let the dog out and admire the splendid scenery while you plan the day’s events.

Reunite with the great outdoors at this elegant home. Pack a picnic and set out across the Avochie Estate, where 1,500 acres of farmland, woodland, and pasture await. Take your binoculars and spy on a fantastic mixture of habitats, including roe deer, game birds, waders, osprey and much more. Sniff out the fishing opportunities on the River Deveron, which is renowned for some of the best fishing in Scotland. If cooking is off the menu, make your way into the local town of Huntley, where dog-friendly restaurants and shops sit beneath the photogenic ruins of a castle.

Superb cottage and location. Premises to a very high standard. Only down side no O2 mobile phone signal within the cottage as we were in the area for work. But for purely vacation reasons I could not fault. The Forbes Hotel less than a mile away is excellent for very good pub grub and excellent real ales.
