Escape to this large, upside-down, stone cottage that’s crammed with character – perfect for a large family or group of friends to enjoy. Dogs will be well catered for being so close to the Yorkshire Dales National Park, but there’s also a fireplace for canine companions to warm themselves beside after an energetic day exploring.
Inside, guests are welcomed into a spacious entrance hall which is handy for hanging coats, dog leads and wellies. On the ground floor are two bedrooms, one is a king-size, the other a twin – both of which can use the downstairs bathroom. The upper living space, however, is one of the house’s main attractions. It has a cosy and stylish lounge, and retains charming, open, oak beamed ceilings. Across the hallway is the kitchen with everything guests should need for an easy self-catering holiday. The formal dining room is downstairs, but guests can eat around the kitchen island if they prefer. Off the lounge are the final two bedrooms. One is a king-size, while the other is a super-king with its own private balcony for admiring the fells. The second bathroom is on this level. Outside, the garden is fully enclosed – making letting the dogs out easy – with a patio with a dining set and BBQ. There’s also a fantastic games room with a multi-games table and full-sized bar as well as a Smart TV.
Ideally situated in the popular village of Kettlewell, this lovely holiday retreat is set against dramatic landscapes but also has charming village pubs on its doorstep. Dogs are always welcomed, often with a treat or two, while hikers and cyclists will be well catered for thanks to some of the best walks and cycle routes in the area starting from the village.
