Located on the outskirts of South Molton, this delightful stable conversion offers the perfect couples’ bolthole within easy reach of Exmoor National Park and the North Devon coast. You’re welcome to bring your faithful canine companion on this romantic retreat – and they’ll love exploring the area by your side, with miles of stunning landscape and several sandy beaches within easy reach.
Laid out over a single storey, the cottage is light, bright and welcoming with quirky stable doors and splashes of colour adding to its charm. The hub of the house is the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can rustle up dinner while your hound snoozes in front of the wood burner-effect electric fire, and plan the following day’s adventures while gathered round the dining table. Snuggle up on the sofa with a glass of wine in the evening, and enjoy a good night’s sleep in the comfortable king-size bed. A courtyard garden surrounds the property, offering a sunny spot to enjoy a meal or drink in the fresh country air – and plenty of room to play fetch with Fido.
The historic market town of South Molton is around a mile down the road, with several dog-friendly eateries to sample and a thriving market place where you and your dog can sniff out some tasty treats. Exmoor National Park is a natural playground where you and your canine chum will have a ball exploring open heath and walking through woods. And if you and your pup want to splash in the sea and frolic on the sand, the sweeping sandy beaches at Woolacombe (25 miles) and Saunton Sands (20 miles) welcome dogs all year round.
