Base yourselves in this cosy studio with far-reaching views of the Highlands which is ideally placed to explore the area by foot or by bike on the NC500 (North Coast 500). After an exhilarating day, head back for a shower and a hot meal at the lodge or at the hotel restaurant down the road, where you can also enjoy a wee dram and maybe even some live music while your furry friend gets forty winks next to the fire.
There’s everything you need for a comfortable stay in this property with its spacious open-plan bedroom/lounge/kitchen/diner, a shower room and a porch for storing your outdoor gear. The house is in the middle of the countryside with views across the fields from every window as well as a large outside space you and Fido will love with. This comes complete with a patio and BBQ so you can make the most of warm evenings.
Whether hiking or cycling, you can leave straight from the house with trails galore nearby. You should visit Balblair Distillery while you’re here (0.5 miles away), one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland, to see how the single malt Scotch whisky is made (and take some home with you). This is a great spot for keen golfers, with five golf courses within 20 miles of the house, and you’re near the coast where you’ll find gorgeous beaches. Dornoch Beach is 15 miles away, where the golden sand goes on as far as the eye can see and provides plenty of space to give the dogs a good run. The village of Bonar Bridge is just 3 miles away if you need to do any shopping or fancy eating out and Carbisdale Castle – which you can see from the house – is 9 miles away by road and makes for an interesting trip out.
