Relax, surrounded by nature at this rural lodge. Situated in a peaceful setting on its own large plot among fields of grazing cows with a lovely garden and luxurious hot tub, it’s ideal for a family who love the great outdoors and will enjoy local walks with their furry best friend in tow.
There’s plenty of space for kids and dogs to run around outside and the house is close to the owners’ farm, which younger children will find very exciting, with gorgeous views in every direction. Inside, there are three bedrooms – one double and two singles – all of which have TVs so perfect for older kids who may want their own space to relax. There’s also a lounge with patio doors leading outside. The outside space as a whole is pretty special, with a gas BBQ and a fire pit, dining furniture, great views, a patio, and the bonus of it being fenced so little ones and pets are safe, making this a great property for those warmer days. What’s more, there’s also a warm, bubbly hot tub to enjoy after a fun day out.
The lodge is near to the village of Shabbington where there’s a super pub on the banks of a tributary of the River Thame that does food, and, of course, dogs are welcome. Thame is down the road (4 miles away), famous as a regular filming location for Midsomer Murders and for its 800-year-old weekly market where you’ll find some delicious foodie treats for you and your furry friends. The Phoenix Trail, a disused railway that’s been turned into a 7.5-mile traffic-free walking and cycling route, goes from Thame to the town of Princes Risborough (11 miles from the house). It’s a lovely walk with 30 pieces of artwork, impressive views, and wildlife to look out for along the way.
