Tucked away in the heart of the South Downs National Park on the Cowdry Country Estate, this charming cottage is ideal for friends or families and their four-legged friends. Surrounded by endless countryside with walks in every direction, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to ‘walkies’. The estate also offers the opportunity to take part in a range of relaxing pursuits, such as horse riding, shooting, yoga and delicious afternoon teas. After a busy day, call in at the local farm shop, café or pub (within 1.5 miles), before heading home for a relaxing evening on the sofa.
Light and airy throughout, with vaulted ceilings adding a sense of space, this sympathetically renovated cottage effortlessly blends original features with a contemporary-cottage style to create a welcoming and relaxing home. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with its gorgeous, exposed beams is the perfect place to cook, dine and unwind whilst spending quality time with loved ones. When it’s time for bed, head to one of the two beautiful bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom or shower room. Outside, enjoy al fresco dining on your private patio with countryside views.
The estate itself has lots to offer guests but, should you want to venture further afield, there is lots to discover in this area of West Sussex. For a taste of the coast, head 18.5 miles to Bognor Regis for a traditional day at the seaside, including a pebble beach and promenade. Closer to home the historic town of Midhurst (2 miles) has lots of independent shops and eateries nestled amongst its medieval, Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture, whilst Petworth (5.5 miles) is home to the National Trust’s Petworth House with its large grounds and art collection.
