The village of Horrabridge is renowned for its fine medieval bridge over the River Walkham, which runs through the village. Here you’ll find a shop, bakery, two pubs and a popular chip shop, ideal for a tasty takeaway supper. There are more shops in Yelverton (2 miles) and a trip to the historic Pannier Market in Tavistock (10 miles) is a must. Burrator Reservoir (4.5 miles) is surrounded by woodland, with a wealth of footpaths, including a 3.5-mile circular route around the water which your dog will love bounding along. Many paths lead up onto Dartmoor, where there are trails to suit all dogs and their families, from easy walks to more challenging hikes. Why not visit 700-year-old Buckland Abbey (3.2 miles) and wander the beautiful grounds? Four-legged friends are welcome but please keep them on a lead.
