Gather together for an adventure around Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park where stunning walking trails, historic houses and dog-friendly eateries are plentiful. Whether you’re looking for a slower-paced, peaceful stay or an action-packed week away climbing mountains and trying water sports, there’s something to please everyone from this lodge.

This lovely lodge opens up into a spacious hallway with room to store bags, coats and boots on arrival. Head through to the open-plan living room/diner and sink into the large corner sofa which has space for all the family along with a wall-mounted Smart TV. Behind is the long dining table where fabulous feasts can be enjoyed with seating for ten guests. The kitchen is a great space with modern appliances and ample space to store and prepare meals for large groups. It also features a smaller breakfast table where you can sit and enjoy a cup of tea with fresh air from the back door. Bedroom number one sits on the ground floor with matching wooden furniture, a characterful window and a sloping ceiling alongside the family shower room. Upstairs there are three further bedrooms: a king-size and a twin room both boasting en-suite shower rooms, as well as a comfortable double room which completes the sleeping arrangements. From the back door, a pathway leads through to the enclosed private patio which features a bespoke gazebo to allow you to enjoy the outdoor area with your canine companion by your side whatever the weather. For ultimate relaxation, the bubbling hot tub is the perfect way to unwind, available daily from 10am to 10pm.

Just a mile away from this lovely, large property is Balloch Castle Country Park where the scenery is gorgeous, taking you through kitchen gardens, woodland and parkland into secret gardens and an impressive 19th-century castle. Loch Lomond is a must-visit whilst staying in the area, offering up an array of water sports, including dog-friendly boat trips so the whole family can enjoy a leisurely trip gazing out at the sights. If you fancy a day in the city, Glasgow (20 miles) has plenty on offer, including a fantastic selection of eateries that welcome those on four legs for light lunches and special occasions.

I had a great weekend with family, the Lodge had everything you need, very spacious and clean, lots of places near at hand to visit. Will definitely visit again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, accommodation well equipped, clean and well decorated. The hot tub was a great extra to help relax after putting kids to bed. Highly recommend and would book again.

Really spacious and clean accomodation in ideal location for walking, climbing, cycling, kayaking, trips to Glasgow/Stirling. The hot tub was a real treat. The host was v responsive regarding minor issues relating to kitchen equipment. Would highly recommend.

Family cottage holiday for 7 and a dog. Holiday cottage ideally situated for easy access to areas of interest and quiet at night. Holiday cottage standards were excellent.
