Immerse yourself into the area’s rich heritage with your pup in tow and visit the ancient ruins of Pendragon Castle, steeped in the legend surrounding King Arthur, less than half a mile from the cottage. Sniff out the perfect picturesque picnic spot where ‘Frank’s Bridge’ crosses the River Eden 4 miles away; your top dog will be just memorised by watching the calm waters follow.
