This former post office has been lovingly converted into a characterful and charming holiday home ideal for a small family located in the picturesque rural village of Northrepps, part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where you are just one mile from the coast. Enjoy a relaxing getaway with your loved ones (including two furry pals) in this traditional cottage close to the sea. There’s so much to do in this lovely part of North Norfolk, and canine companions are more than welcome in many places, including the friendly pub in the village.
Welcoming and cosy, the lounge has comfortable seating gathered around a wood-burner-effect electric fire – the ideal spot for a relaxing evening after a day’s exploring, with canine companions snoring by your feet. This room shares the space with a dining table, while in the kitchen plentiful cupboards and good worktop space will allow you to easily prepare all kinds of holiday meals. Heading upstairs there are three bedrooms, a double and two singles, one of the latter having a pull-out bed to sleep an extra guest if necessary. These rooms share the family bathroom. A table and chairs are provided in the courtyard, so on warmer days you can take your meals alfresco and relax in the fresh country air.
Nearby you’ll find pretty country lanes and clifftop walks, and 3.5 miles will take you to Cromer, where trying some fresh local crab and walking the Victorian pier (dogs allowed) are musts. From Sheringham (8.5 miles) you and your pupster can join the North Norfolk Steam Railway, which travels through stunning scenery to the Georgian town of Holt, where there are a variety of boutique shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants and galleries. If you want to experience the long, sandy beach at Mundesley, 6 miles away, turn left and go beyond the beach huts. Keeping a careful eye on the tide, you can walk for miles and long-legged hounds will be able to burn off plenty of energy.
