Enjoy a unique stay in this beautiful chapel conversion with a patio area from where you can admire the village views. Come together in the large open-plan living area and relax around the fire.
Quirky with heaps of character and original features, this holiday property is something a little bit different. There’s space to sleep eight humans and two dogs, so it’s a great place for a big family holiday or a get-together for a special occasion. It’s in a lovely village with pretty much everything you could need in the heart of the Peak District, surrounded by rolling countryside and tail-wagging walkies.
Reached via some external steps, this beautiful conversion has been completed with a respectful nod to the building’s former life. You can see the previous layout and imagine the chapel services – lots of original features have been kept and there’s even some authentic furniture. There are some welcome additions too: a wood burner (perfect for pups to snooze beside), four gorgeous bedrooms, two beautiful bathrooms, and an Xbox and a Smart TV. The house has a pretty cottage-style garden with gorgeous planting and patio furniture so you can enjoy the views with a glass of something on a sunny day. Best of all, it’s enclosed, so your furry family members are free to safely potter around to their hearts’ content.
Known for its stunning countryside and wonderful walks, there are lots of hiking trails and cycling routes nearby. The High Peak and Tissington Trail are both less than 3 miles from the house (you can hire bikes from the visitor centre in the village if needed). There’s a lovely walking route around Carsington Water (15 miles away) where humans can also have a go at a range of water sports. If you like snooping around posh houses, Chatsworth is 14.5 miles away and medieval Haddon Hall is 12 miles away (they’re close to each other so you could visit them both in a day). While pups aren’t allowed inside, both offer some lovely pet-friendly walks within the grounds.
