This spacious rural retreat is located in the beautiful village of Upper Lambourn on the Berkshire/Oxfordshire border and is perfect for friends and family coming together for any occasion.

Complete with exposed beams and an inglenook fireplace perfect for your beloved dog to curl up next to, this property is a large house with countryside walks straight from the front door – watch out for the exercising equines in the Valley of the Racehorse! The extensive gardens are also a fantastic place for your family, friends and mutt to hang out in when the weather allows.

Inside the pretty home, you’ll enter through a spacious hallway from which you can go into a snug or study to watch TV or even work. Importantly, for any dog-owning family, there’s a downstairs cloakroom to take off muddy wellies and wipe off muddy paws. The lounge area has views to the garden as well as that feature fireplace while the dining room is large enough to seat ten. Cooking for ten is easy here thanks to the well-equipped kitchen with everything you need for a self-catering holiday. The separate pantry also doubles up as a utility room with a washer/dryer. Upstairs are three bedrooms - a master suite with a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom, and two further double bedrooms. These rooms can use the family bathroom on this floor. Outside, in the garden, is a separate cottage which has a bunk room and a bedroom with a king-size zip-and-link. It also has a bathroom, so guests don’t need to worry about late-night trips to the main house. The garden surrounding the cottage is pretty with plenty of seating on the patio and a BBQ for al fresco dining.

The house is a mile from the quaint village of Upper Lambourn. However, the market town of Wantage is only 7 miles away and Oxford with all its history and culture is a 20-mile drive. It can be busy, but you could easily take a well-behaved dog for a tourist trip there.
