This coastal bolthole is just 0.5 miles from Brixham’s picturesque harbour. The property sleeps six guests and two hairy hounds and is ideal for a family reunion or holiday with friends. After a long dog walk, return to the cottage for an evening of al fresco dining on your enclosed balcony. From Brixham, you can enjoy day trips to Torquay, Dartmouth, and Salcombe (all within 30 miles).
Steps lead to the front door of the cottage. Once inside, discover a property decorated in blues and aquamarines, to reflect the surrounding landscape. From the hallway, where you can store muddy boots and dog leads, enter the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This sociable space has a large dining table, breakfast bar, and ample room for dog beds. A step leads into the kitchen area. The cosy lounge area is the ideal place to spend quality time together, sharing a bottle of wine or playing board games. A king-size bedroom with en-suite facilities is located on the first floor, along with a snug, and family bathroom. The remaining bedrooms are on the second floor. An enclosed balcony with outdoor furniture is accessed via the snug, and is a lovely spot for the hounds to hang out. There is also a small seating area to the front of the property.
Brixham has a great choice of woof-friendly beaches, including Fishcombe Cove and St Mary’s Bay, which are both within 1 mile of the town centre. Let Rover and Fido lead the way along the South West Coast Path towards Berry Head (1.5 miles), where you can marvel at the panoramic views across Torbay. To really appreciate this dramatic coastline, hop on the paw-friendly ferry to Dartmouth, followed by a ride on the Dartmouth Steam Railway.
