With the historic village of Minterne Magna on your doorstep, guests can make use of 27 acres of sprawling gardens, an outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts. Groups and their furry friends will also enjoy the wealth of walking trails and private grounds around, as well the nearby village of Cerne Abbas (2.5 miles) and the county town of Dorchester just ten miles away.
Although this grand building is over 400 years old, the first-floor apartment is elegant and airy. Guests are met by a spacious hallway that leads through to all the property’s rooms, starting with an open-plan kitchen and dining room that features all you need to enjoy your favourite meals away from home. After food, sit back and relax in the apartment’s sitting room complete with a Smart TV/DVD, a record player and Amazon Alexa to set a party-like atmosphere. Next along the hallway are the four bedrooms, three of which boast super-king-size zip-and-link beds, with the fourth room featuring a twin zip-and-link which can be changed to a super-king-size on request. Guests can also make use of a Jack and Jill bathroom with a bath and WC, as well as a spacious shower room with a shower and WC. The shower room also offers a handy utility cupboard with a washer/dryer. Whilst the apartment has no private outdoor space, guests are invited to explore the charming Minterne Gardens between 10am and 6pm, plus make use of the lawn tennis court and outdoor heated pool.
Having explored the surrounding estate, head out with your walking boots on and get to know Dorset’s AONB countryside. Two miles away lies the unique chalk hill figure of Cerne Giant - a landmark just outside of the charming village of Cerne Abbas (2.5 miles). A little further away you’ll find Kingcombe Meadows (11 miles), a vibrant nature reserve with grassland and hedgerows teaming with life.
