This cosy yet unique conversion offers couples and small families a great base from which to explore the whole of North Devon.
This unique bolthole in the heart of the wonderful Devon countryside provides a backdrop for a fantastic holiday for a couple or small family, plus their furry four-footed pal. The quirky layout, with a mezzanine level with two futon-style chair beds and plenty of colourful furnishings, ensure this home offers a memorable stay for all.
Guests enter the converted barn straight into the open-plan living area. It has high ceilings and exposed beams to give it character, yet it is still light and bright, helped by the high-level glass window - just one of the many clever design features. The property has underfloor heating on the ground floor so all feet and paws will remain toasty throughout a guest’s stay. Up the property’s steep steps is the bedroom with a double bed and a shower room. The property has a paddle staircase which leads to the mezzanine level where there are chairs and beds ideal for children or dogs that can manage the stairs. There is also a selection of books, puzzles and games for a range of levels and interests! Outside, the enclosed garden has a patio and lawn area for all to use. There are loungers and garden furniture for guests to enjoy when the weather allows, as well as a BBQ. Children will love the playhouse at the end of the garden. Finally, in the summer, there is a hot tub available.
When guests can tear themselves away from the house, there is so much to do nearby. The Tarka Trail is perfect for long walks or even cycles. For dogs and guests that love the sea, there are so many beaches an easy drive away. Westward Ho! (11 miles), Croyde Bay (25 miles), Saunton (24 miles), and Woolacombe (27 miles) are all stunning stretches of golden sand.
