It’s the perfect location for families and their four-legged friends, with a number of walks from your doorstep and beyond. Situated within the village of Velindre, the cottage occupies a peaceful rural position, with the convenience of a pub in the village itself, and shops in neighbouring Talgarth (3 miles).
After admiring the cottage’s picture-perfect exterior, step inside where you’ll find an abundance of rural charm with exposed beams, stone fireplaces and flagstone floors all adding character and warmth. The ground floor is home to a cosy lounge with a wood burner – perfect for curling up in front of at the end of a busy day – alongside a kitchen/diner and an additional snug area, all of which are light and airy. Upstairs, there are four well-presented bedrooms, a shower room and a family bathroom whilst, outside, two-legged and four-legged guests alike will love the enclosed garden with its lawn and patio area.
Situated in the foothills of the Black Mountains, one of the Brecon Beacons’ four ranges, you and your canine companions can choose from a range of walks, including the ascent of the highest summit, Waun Fach (28 miles). A little closer to home, you can enjoy the ancient woodland and waterfalls of Pwll y Wrach Nature Reserve (4 miles). For those keen to take to the water, head to Llangorse Lake (8 miles), or for other outdoor activities head to The Black Mountain Activity Centre (2 miles). For a quiet stroll around a market town followed by tea and cake in a dog-friendly café, Hay-on-Wye, Crickhowell and Brecon are worth a visit.
