Warm and welcoming, this cottage is full of character and charm. The living room has pillowy corner sofas, an armchair, a feature fireplace, a TV and a real home-from-home feel with the tasteful furnishings. For mealtimes, the kitchen/diner on the lower ground floor has a beamed ceiling, a breakfast bar for two and a full dining table for guests to cook up a feast and dine together for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For peace and quiet, the snug is a great place to relax with a good book on the comfortable seating, and the main bathroom with a shower over the bath completes the ground floor. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms: the first a bright and cosy double, and the second a simply furnished, modern room with a small double bed. On the second floor, there is a further master bedroom featuring a double bed with views over the village, and it benefits from an en-suite shower room for convenience. Outside, the enclosed patio is a lovely place to enjoy the fresh air with a section of lawn making it a great space for dogs.
The village of Greenodd is a wonderful base, with a butchers, an artisan bakery, and a pub, as well as a few other small eateries and shops. The walks from here are fantastic, with a gentle path from Greenodd to Ulverston spanning 3 miles and offering a picturesque route. For a day out at the beach, Roanhead Beach (11 miles) is a stretch of sand popular with dog walkers. Days out at the lake are also plentiful with Coniston Water 14.5 miles and Lake Windermere 17.5 miles.
