Surrounded by moorland and close to Cornwall’s Atlantic coastline, this studio-style barn conversion is a perfect couple’s retreat. Plenty of holiday hot spots are nearby, and there’s Bodmin Moor and an abundance of wildlife on the doorstep for a back-to-nature break your whole pack will enjoy.

Approached by a rural lane and short gated track shared by the owner's adjacent farmhouse, this single-storey holiday home has a handy porch that’s perfect for drying paws and shedding outdoor wear. An inner door leads into an open-plan living space where exposed roof beams complement a contemporary kitchen/dining area full of all the home-from-home essentials – an ideal spot to sit and plan your day's adventures. A wide, curtained archway leads up a step to the adjacent living and sleeping area where a two-seater sofa, TV and double bed set the scene for laid-back nights in. A door in the far corner opens to the convenient shower room. Outdoors, you’ll have sole use of a garden area complete with seating, a gazebo and BBQ – make sure you save a sausage for Fido!

Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty criss-crossed by moorland paths and walks to ancient stone circles, this holiday property is 2 miles from the village of St Breward, famous for its granite quarries and china clay works. The centuries-old inn here – Cornwall’s highest – has dog-friendly bars and roaring log fires… perfect for post-walkies refreshments! Once famous as a centre for wool production, lively Wadebridge is 9 miles away and you can follow the Camel Trail from here to both Padstow and Bodmin. Alternatively, the South West Coast Path can be accessed at pretty Port Isaac (9 miles), where you can explore the historic fishing harbour and quaint cobbled streets that are popular with movie and TV programme makers.

Loved staying here its out the way and peaceful, if your expecting good internet this is not for you, there is enough but very patchy. The location is remote and you are on the moors with the wildlife around you. Superb location in its own right and for visits to the coast (even in very wet and windy conditions). Warm welcome and helpful tips to make the most of our stay, avoiding some of the crowds.
