Stylish waterside lodge on the beautiful Spring Lake in the heart of the Cotswold Water Park –combine adventure-filled days on the lake with relaxing walks in the surrounding countryside.
Just 1 mile away from the picturesque village of South Cerney, this light and welcoming lakeside lodge in the heart of the Cotswold Water Park would be the ideal base for an active group of six people with one dog. While the attractive market town of Cirencester lies just 6 miles away, water sports lovers will be in their element thanks to a wide range of activities - from windsurfing and sailing to fishing and kayaking - available on the doorstep. The lodge has been tastefully furnished, enjoys open-plan living areas and a private decked area looking out over the water.
Entry to the lodge is via the kitchen, a place where eager cooks are able to prepare meals with everything close to hand. The open-plan lounge/diner sits just beyond, an area which bathes in natural light, with bench-style seating for meals and comfortable sofas the whole group can sink into on movie night, with the wood burner fired up. The first floor is home to a family bathroom and three inviting, individually styled bedrooms: a double bedroom, a bunk bedroom and a queen-size bedroom enjoying views across Spring Lake. There are further stunning views of the water through the double doors in the lounge which lead to a private decked area, bordered by glass balustrades, a place to sit and watch the sunset or enjoy al fresco dining.
As well as all the water-based activities and a child’s play area, little tails will be wagging during walks along the footpaths and bridle paths that criss-cross the resort. There are also a variety of bars and restaurants, a spa for some ‘me time’ and even a gym to work out in. South Cerney (1 mile) is home to a host of dog-friendly amenities while Cirencester (6 miles) boasts a range of independent shops and dining options.
