Lovely wooden lodge set in a lovely area, within walking distance of Hawkshead via a track over fields at the back. The lodge was warm and cosy, had everything we needed for our stay and was clean and tidy upon arrival.

The property was spotless, very clean and tidy. Also had everything you would need for a week away and more. Very quite location , but a great one to venture out from each day exploring the lakes. Very pet friendly and safe.

We found the accommodation very comfortable and spacious, and was very well equipped to accommodate our needs. It was a short walk down into Hawkeshead village, which had a good selection of shops as well as opportunity to eat out. The village also had a good play park for families and a variety of walks in the local area.

My partner & I have been visiting Hawkshead for 10 years & we were extremely happy with Sunny Howe. Spotlessly clean & very comfortable. We were particularly impressed with the amount of equipment in the kitchen. Will definitely be booking again, hopefully very soon!

Really good sized lodge, very clean and well presented. Would definitely recommend. The best lodge we have stayed in anywhere in UK. Only slight downside for us was that it is a little way from Hawkshead itself which is a lovely village with nice cafes.

Very well appointed lodge with beautiful views. Very comfortable and cosy. We could not find the walk across the fields to Hawkshead so it can be a bit of a precarious walk when its dark, we didnt find torch till last day.

Nice spacious cottage. Clean and well looked after. Bed not too soft so always had a good nights sleep. Area is quiet even if other properties are noisy you dont hear them. Veranda with gate on is good for the safety of any kids or animals staying so they dont fall/escape down the few stairs. Its a 10/15min walk to village but we always took car asRead more felt safer as some people used the local roads as an F1 race track. Plus the weather was a bit off on a few occasions. Hide

A superb lodge with all modern and comfortable furnishings. Sat on the balcony in utter peace enjoying the superb scenery was amazing. Close to Esthwaite where we saw the Ospreys and one one occasion 3 unattached or last year's young flew past while we were fishing. Also very close to Windermere. An amazing stay and certainly destressed.
