Walk past the utilities in the hallway to find the lodge’s first bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC, then find the twin bedroom (which can be made into a king-size on request) and the master bedroom complete with an en-suite shower room and WC. Outside, guests can enjoy the large decked area with table and chairs which makes for the ideal spot to sip your morning coffee or evening tipple.
For effortless walks within easy reach, head to Esthwaite Water (less than 0.5 miles) and follow a delightful circular route around the water’s edge. You’ll love letting the dogs run wild whilst you admire boats out on the water. For a more challenging walk, head to Claife Heights on the banks of Windermere (five miles) or the Old Man of Coniston in the opposite direction (seven miles). The popular village of Coniston is just four miles away and hosts some of the district’s most spectacular walks and visitor attractions. And the Lake District’s busiest town of Windemere is six miles away, boasting a wide range of shops, restaurants and pubs.
