The beach is only half a mile away – chasing a ball along its long, golden sands is bound to get tails wagging. The bar counter for four provides a space for dining or simply relaxing with a coffee and the newspaper. Join the Norfolk Coast Path in Caister and enjoy an easy stroll in either direction – turning right takes you to Great Yarmouth in 3.5 miles, and left reaches Horsey Gap, famous for its seal colony, in 9.5 miles – a great stretch of the legs for everyone. Another lovely day trip is to Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden, 12 miles away (dogs welcome on a short lead), with 130 acres of planting and miles of beautiful walks.
