In a hidden valley between the Quantock Hills and the coast, this immaculate lodge perches on the cliff top overlooking St Audries Bay. The property enjoys stunning views along the coastline and across to Wales.
This gorgeous property, situated less than 100 metres from St Audries Waterfall, is perfect for you and your guests – including the canine one! Sleeping four over two welcoming bedrooms, this holiday home is a truly tranquil retreat for families that want to relax and unwind. Head down the coastal path (less than 1 mile) for walkies or go fossil hunting on the beach before coming home to enjoy a home-cooked meal eaten out on the decking among the stunning views.
Climb the flight of steps into the bright and airy open-plan living area. Sets of French doors open out to views across the bay and over to Wales, but draw the curtains and light the wood burner-effect electric fire and it becomes a cosy haven to snuggle up in on the sofa, watching TV while the pup snoozes. The contemporary kitchen has everything you need to make delicious meals that you can eat at the large dining table. You’ll find the bedrooms at opposite ends of the property; both are doubles with fantastic sea views and peaceful, neutral decor. Each has its own stylish en-suite shower room to get rid of those morning bathroom queues. Outside, an enclosed garden is the perfect space for the kids and dog to play; if the children love to swim, book a half-hour slot in the on-site indoor heated swimming pool.
Watchet Boat Museum (2.5 miles) is a great way to while away a few rainy hours with the whole family; when the sun comes out, head down to the harbour. Stretch your legs at Dunster Castle and Watermill (9.5 miles) where there are plenty of parkland routes, or explore the winding trails at Great Wood (10 miles). And for a more leisurely journey, hop aboard the West Somerset Railway (12 miles).
