This delightful barn has been thoughtfully converted to maintain a sense of rustic charm alongside modern-day comfort. Upon entering, you are greeted by a cosy lounge with plenty of sofa seating and a warming wood burner that is sure to be popular with the hounds. The impressive open-plan kitchen/diner has a contemporary look, with a central island and breakfast bar to grab a bite on the go or choose the more formal dining table to share a family meal. To dine outside, simply head across the quiet lane to your spacious enclosed garden with outdoor furniture. There’s also a lovely summerhouse offering far-reaching views and a lawn with ample space for a game of catch. After a day of fun and excitement, head upstairs to rest tired legs in one of the three inviting bedrooms with exposed wooden beams overhead, and each with its own en-suite shower room.
The beaches of North Devon are not to be missed. Make sure to visit Instow Beach, 8.5 miles from your door, where dogs are invited year-round, and there’s no need for a lead so Rover can frolic to his heart’s content. Join the Tarka Trail, which passes through nearby Bideford (6 miles), and explore a section of this 180-mile figure-of-eight-loop inspired by the travels of Tarka the Otter. Bikes can be hired locally to enable you to see more and to give your furry friends a real workout. After all that activity, a refreshment will undoubtedly be in order so visit the local pub (2.5 miles) where four legs are as welcome at the bar as two.
