Nestled in a tranquil rural location, this converted barn is perfect for families or couples with tufty-pawed pals seeking a sophisticated stay while adventuring in the Cumbrian countryside. Treat your waggy-tailed friends to a long stretch of the legs as you explore the rolling hills and historic castles of the Eden Valley, then flop down together in the ambient glow of the crackling wood burner.

This elegant hideaway is brimming with original property details, exposed beams, and local artist pieces. Load up the boot room with muddy boots and harnesses, then pad through the open lounge area, crank up the wood burner, and sink into the comfortable seats while your pup curls up by your feet. Prepare a hearty post-adventure feast for the pack in the light-flooded farmhouse kitchen and sneak some extra treats to your puppy-eyed dogs – they deserve it after all! Plan out your up-and-coming adventures at the large wooden dining table, or retreat to the leafy sunroom for a moment of peace. The patio doors open to reveal the private patio where your curious hounds can sniff out their new stomping ground while you enjoy al fresco nibbles and drinks. The sleeping areas consist of a ground-floor en-suite double room with opulent oak flooring, and a first-floor double room with a sloped ceiling and an en-suite bathroom.

Whittle down one of the many walking, biking, and hiking routes located on your doorstep between the Lakes and North Pennies, and gear up for a day of breezy walkies and hilltop picnics. Indulge in a well-earned pub supper at the nearby market town of Appleby where your four-pawed pals will be warmly welcomed. Enjoy a gentle saunter around the impressive grounds of Lowther Castle where cultured canines can even potter through the on-site museum, 12 miles.
