Set within the heart of the small Cotswold Village of Beverston, this traditional cottage with a contemporary twist is simply perfect for couples wanting to get away and enjoy the South Cotswolds.

This stunning property, situated just 2.5 miles from the vibrant town of Tetbury, is the perfect romantic bolthole for two – and the pup, of course! Sleeping you both in a gorgeous king-size bedroom, it won’t be long before you’re feeling refreshed and ready to get out and explore the beautiful countryside. Head out for walkies around Beverston Castle estate (200 metres) before going for lunch at the dog-friendly pub in Tetbury.

The cottage has a bright and airy feel with lots of traditional features. The kitchen is fresh and bright with everything you need to cook up a storm and eat at the dining table in the sitting area. After dinner, light the wood burner and get cosy on the sofa among the stylish panelled walls, the pup curled up by your feet. Take a quick shower in the contemporary ground-floor shower room or head upstairs for an indulgent soak in the huge bath in the bathroom before snuggling into bed. Panelled walls, clean lines and neutral decor make for a tranquil night’s sleep. Outside, a pretty terrace with a table and chairs is ideal for al fresco dining, and the garden beyond is ideal for the dog to stretch their legs.

Explore the acres of parkland at Woodchester Mansion (8.5 miles) where most of the waymarked routes are ideal for walks with your four-legged friend. Pups are also welcome at Painswick Rococo Garden (13 miles), the UK’s only complete surviving rococo garden, where you can wander among nature in absolute tranquillity. For something a bit different, hire a boat from Saul Junction Marina (14 miles) and chug down the canals for a day through fabulous scenery.

Whilst overall the cottage was lovely it was not "luxury" status. The shower was terrible. Fittings and furnishings were acceptable (not exceptional). A massive issue was the busy, noisy road outside which is difficult to do anything about. We feel we paid twice what we should've for this cottage. We still very much enjoyed the Cotswolds and local Read morerestaurants however. Hide

Stylish cottage in a glorious part of the country - we absolutely fell in love with the Cotswolds! Comfy bed, fabulous bath, all very tastefully done, and lovely outside space too. Beautiful gardens/fields around - worth saying the cottage is on the corner with a main road so there is some traffic noise, but not intrusively. NB Although the cottageRead more is called 'Beverston Cottage' on this site, it's confusingly *not* the one called Beverston Cottage in the village....! Gorgeous stay, thank you :-) Hide

The cottage is beautiful. We enjoyed walks along the footpaths starting straight at the cottage - Tetbury/wild carrot/arboretum. A great disappointment was the traffic noise - the A4135 is a very busy road next to the cottage. Sitting in the lovely garden was not that enjoyable except on weekends. The "fenced" garden was not safe for our poodle becRead moreause the wall around the garden is very low. She jumped onto it and crossed the dangerous road to get near the sheep on the other side of the road Hide

Billed as 5 star but in our view fell short of that standard. Too many spiders for us. We were surprised they were not removed during cleaning prior to our arrival. A vacuum cleaner would be useful. The fridge freezer was extremely small inadequate for our self-catering needs. Lovely sunny garden (albeit alongside a fairly busy road). The seating Read morearea would benefit from cushions for the outdoor chairs & a parasol. In a lovely area of the country, a visit to Westonbirt is recommended. Hide

Beautiful cottage, great walks around the area and very close to Tetbury village. Cottage on two floors with enclosed private garden. Your car space is a few steps away from the cottage in a allocated spot across the path. Kitchen utensils great. With it being for 2 people there was plenty plates/glasses. Weve had a very pleasant stay in a lovely cottage, especially well located near by the beautiful Tetbury town. The place is the perfect base camp to discover the amazing beauty of the Cotswolds, and the kindliness of the people.
