Located in a peaceful residential area of Bude, this is the perfect base to explore the unspoilt and hugely popular coastal town with many local amenities to get stuck into. The perfect family retreat.

Ideal for a family group of six humans and two dogs, this cottage features a spacious, enclosed garden, bunk bedroom, and a warming wood burner. It is set in a peaceful residential area of the bustling, coastal town of Bude and within easy reach of walking routes where your pups can find a new leash of life.

This bright and airy home has everything you need to enjoy socialising as a group, or take some time out relaxing after busy days exploring the Cornish coast. A superb Range oven is great for cooking for all guests, and a spacious dining table provides a perfect place to eat together or play games. In the lounge, fire up the warming wood burner and let sleeping dogs lie, while you watch your favourite shows and movies. Upstairs, are the three bedrooms, one king-size which also boasts a Smart TV, one double bedroom, and one bunk bedroom. There is also a family bathroom with a bath, shower and WC.

Bude itself is a popular seaside town with three golden sandy beaches, and a wide range of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, many of which are dog friendly. The hidden gem of Bude Canal provides a safe walking route, or take a challenging stroll along the South West Coast Path which travels alongside the town over the Efford Beacon. Enjoy a family day out at the fabulous Milky Way Adventure Park (16 miles) which is full to the brim with fun attractions for all ages, and welcomes your four-legged friends. History lovers will enjoy exploring the ruins at Tintagel Castle (19 miles), or the outstanding Hartland Abbey and Gardens (16 miles).

Such a lovely house, in a great location for some nice walks along the canal and to the beach. The house was really cosy and homely, and Lisa and Will were great hosts. It was a really nice touch to have some welcome treats for us and the dogs. We had a small issue during the week which was swiftly resolved and Lisa and Will provided some gifts forRead more any inconvenience. This was a lovely touch, not necessary but greatly appreciated. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and cosy. Excellent location. The cottage has everything you need to self cater, very comfortable beds, all in all the stay was excellent, would definitely stay again. The owners Lisa and Will are lovely caring people and we even had a welcome pack which we were not expecting

We had a lovely week in Bude. Penwick Cottage was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. We really appreciated the welcome tray! The cottage is ideally located and not far from the town, beach or canal. Wed definitely like to return to Bude and would stay in Penwick Cottage again.

Lovely house a real home from home in fabulous Bude. Super welcome tray of goodies and excellent information folder with all you needed to know about the property and things to do in the area. We had a great stay it went so quickly and we were sad to leave!

Penwick is a very comfortable holiday home to stay in. It had everything we needed and a great walking location for access to the canal, cafe & Bude centre within 15 mins.

The cottage is in a great location for Bude town centre, easily accessible by foot along the canal or road in the car. The cottage is decorated very tastefully and in keeping with its proximity to the seaside. It looked fresh & well maintained on arrival & is well equipped for a self catering holiday. What an idyllic location, beautiful and immaculately clean cottage with everything you need for a great stay. We loved that the property was so close to Bude town centre, with so many amazing places to eat and drink. Close to great coastal walks and a stunning sandy beach. This is a lovely property, well equipped and maintained, it is in an excellent location for walks by the canal and down to the beach. There is good off road parking and the area where it is located is quiet.

An amazing week, perfect location for a family - and dog! We explored so much and loved the ability to walk into town, we highly recommend the olive tree for lunch and the barge for a coffee :) go to Black Rock for a breakfast, you wont regret it. We will be back!
