A superb, detached holiday home with outstanding views across the countryside and down to the beautiful bay of Woolacombe.
This stunning holiday home sits high above Woolacombe, with views out to sea. Sleeping eight guests and two hairy hounds, the property makes a great base for large families and groups of friends looking for a traditional seaside getaway. Just 1 mile away is the woof-welcoming Woolacombe Beach, where you can also join the South West Coast Path for long dog walks. The property has a sociable layout with areas for entertaining both indoors and outside.
The light and airy property is decorated in a contemporary style and has hard floors throughout, making it easy to deal with sandy pawprints. After a busy day, come together around the Smart TV to watch a film as the hounds doze in front of the wood burner. The kitchen, one of the bedrooms, and a handy bathroom are also located on the ground floor. Heading upstairs, you’ll find three further bedrooms, along with a family bathroom. Patio doors lead to a terrace with outdoor furniture and breathtaking views. The area is surrounded by a glass balustrade but is not fully enclosed. At the rear of the property, there is a handy tap for rinsing sandy paws.
A 1-mile stroll will bring you into the centre of Woolacombe, where you’ll find a great selection of independent eateries and boutiques, many of which welcome four-pawed visitors. The vast beach is dog friendly all year, with just a small restricted area during the summer months. The South West Coast Path stretches out in both directions from the village to the surfing hotspot of Croyde (4.5 miles) to the south and the Victorian town of Ilfracombe (5 miles) to the north. Another popular walk for pups and their human companions is on Woolacombe Downs which overlooks the beach. From here, you can marvel at the magnificent views across Woolacombe Bay to Lundy Island.
