A sleek and stylish kitchen with lots of natural light is a pleasure to whip up tasty meals in, chat with the chef at the table here or head through to the conservatory to the dining table. Throw open the patio doors to the garden or even dine alfresco out here when it’s warm enough. Spend the morning at the Shipwreck Treasure Museum (1 mile) which provides water bowls for your pups as you wander around the displays. After that, go for walkies along the South West Coast Path down to Crinnis Cliff Battery (1 mile total, 300 metres from the museum) and on to dog-friendly Duporth Beach (1.5 miles; 300 metres from the battery). Make sure you visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan (8 miles) and historic Wheal Martyn Clay Works (4.5 miles).
