This slice of rural heaven is only 2.5 miles from the coast and seaside resorts, yet it feels miles from anywhere, with far-reaching views across the wild landscape and fields. The house is perfect for a family, with open-plan living, a king-size and a twin bedroom, and a Wii with various controllers and games. There’s also a gorgeous garden with different areas for your happy hound to sniff out and explore, making this a perfect peaceful retreat.

If you’ve been out all day, you’ll love lighting the wood burner when you get in, putting on the TV and relaxing while Fido snoozes in his basket in the warmth of the fire. If the weather’s nice, you’ll want to live outside, where there’s a decked area next to the house and a second area down some steps with a large patio for BBQs, pretty lawns and planting –everyone will love the garden and the feeling of space, especially those with four legs!

Grab the lead and head out on a walk straight from the house around Firestone Copse, less than 500 metres away. There are also lots of footpaths nearby and the coast is 2.5 miles away with lovely long walks on the sandy beaches. Ryde, known for its eclectic mix of shops, is 2.5 miles away and definitely worth visiting. Appley Beach, about 1.5 miles east of Ryde Pier, is stunning and the water is usually warm in the summer. If you keep walking another mile, you’ll reach Puckpool Park where there are tennis courts, crazy golf, and a playground. They can also join you on a steam train ride on the Isle of Wight Railway, about 1 mile from the house, with a free doggy ticket and Robin Hill Country Park 2.4 miles away.

We had a lovely stay at Santa Maria. The bungalow has everything you need. We loved the sitting out area and the view over Firestone Copse. Also super comfy beds which is always a plus.! The owner was very helpful when we had problems with the WiFi and very knowledgeable about the area. The cake was a lovely surprise on arrival!

Very good level of facilities, ideal location for various towns, beaches and attractions, excellent pub with food 2 minutes away, really enjoyed stay despite middling weather. good view of sunset from balcony and living room.

Good location, lovely accommodation, pub with excellent meals walking distance, no shop in the village but a well stocked honesty box kiosk 'The Little Cowshed' walking distance. Had a lovely holiday.

Lovely well equipped comfortable clean property. Beds are really comfortable too! Good location to get around the island and close to the car ferry terminal so no time wasted. Great view over the forest from the rear of the property.

A comfortable well equipped property with lovely views at the rear. The owners are friendly and helpful. Ideally placed for access to all the Islands attractions. We would certainly go back.

Paul the Owner, rang us when the bungalow was ready which we appreciated. Very impressed with Santa Maria as soon as we walked in we felt at home very homely and comfortable and lovely views. A nice surprise in the kitchen a welcome pack with a homemade Harvest Apple Scone very tasty. Enjoyed our stay very much.

A really lovely property perfectly situated for exploring the island, quiet and comfortable with an amazing view from the balcony area. Property was clean and in good condition. We loved our holiday at Santa Maria , lovely bungalow with great outdoor space , be aware of steep steps down to garden but you can go via the driveway as we did with our dog , village is lovely but no shop so will need a car to get supplies. We would highly recommend Santa Maria. The house has everything you want and the view from the balcony is wonderful. It is also in an excellent location for visiting the attractions of the Isle of Wight.

This is a very comfortable and fully equipped cottage. The bungalow has good heating for a colder evening and a wonderful view. It has an excellent balcony which is in full sun during the afternoon (we stayed in mid-may) and is sheltered from any wind by glass screens.
