This lodge is in an incredible position on Loch Ness shore with amazing views. It’s surrounded by nature, but not far from civilisation if you need to do some shopping or fancy a meal out. It can also sleep eight (with the sofa bed) so a big group of you can all go away together with your canine companion in tow. If you get back from a day hiking across the hills or hurtling down mountain bike trails with aching muscles, there’s a bath and a hot tub to ease them ready for the next day’s adventure.
The house is all about the view, but that doesn’t mean you have to compromise on style or space; it’s spacious and bright throughout. The open plan lounge/kitchen/diner has huge windows that let in heaps of light and that beautiful view. There’s also a second lounge on the first floor, with more space to relax as well as more great views from the room and balcony. Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor along with a shower room, and the third bedroom, with an en-suite bath, is upstairs. As well as the deck and balcony, there’s a lawn and a BBQ for you to use so plenty of opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors.
The house is situated in an adventure seeker’s paradise. Do some (or all!) of the Loch Ness 360? Trail while you’re here, which is an 80-mile circuit of the entire loch. One of the trail highlights is the Falls of Foyers, a 1-mile walk or 1.5-mile drive from the house. Thrill seekers might enjoy a ride on a RIB on the loch, there are also more leisurely boat cruises, or hire a kayak to take to the water. Fort Augustus is just 13 miles away and has a small selection of shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants if you need anything.
