Water-loving pups will adore this charming 17th-century cottage, just 150 metres from the glorious Alton Water Park - a reservoir and nature reserve that sprawls across 400 acres. A plethora of water-based activities are on offer nearby, such as sailing, windsurfing and kayaking, while you can also sniff out its many nature trails with your pet in tow. The house has a lovely traditional feel to it with plenty of original features, and with space for four, it’s ideal for a family holiday or trip among nature-loving friends.

Painted pink on the outside, this quaint cottage makes an impression as soon as you arrive. The inside boasts exposed beams, exposed brickwork, and quaint low doors, all contributing to its historic charm. In the cosy living area, furnished with armchairs and a two-seater sofa, pop on the Smart TV and light up the wood burner to keep man and dog cosy. The dining area, wrapping around from the living room, offers more comfy seating and another Smart TV. Along with the two bedrooms, a king-size room and a flexible twin, there's also a small study/dressing room area for those quiet moments. Outside, the enclosed garden and patio area is ideal for energetic pets to let off steam. You can dine alfresco with your dog nearby, or spend time reading in the lovely summer house, complete with armchairs and a sofa.

You’ll be just under 1 mile from the tranquil Suffolk village of Tattingstone, which has a pub just outside it (1.5 miles). 5 miles away there’s a large supermarket for restocking on ingredients, and you’ll be a similar distance from Ipswich - a bustling town on the River Orwell. You’ll also be conveniently close to Constable Country (8 miles), allowing you and your furry companion to tread the paths that inspired the famous British painter.

We had a lovely week in this amazing cosy cottage ! The place was perfect. The location is great, next to the forest and the garden is big enough for a child to play. You can find everything in the house and it is well decorated. I would have stayed if we didn't have to go back to work ! :D

Lovely cottage in a good spot and not far from family that we were spending time with. The garden was a nice surprise and much bigger than expected, without being overlooked. There is no washing machine here though so if you go walking or biking make sure you pack enough spares.

What a fabulous cottage in a lovely quiet location, with a good walking route. Host, Luisa was lovely and left some unexpected extras like a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge. Cottage was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment. Would absolutely recommend.
