Cosy barn with enclosed garden on a working farm. Friends can enjoy river and valley views from this idyllic spot near Bala with its stunning lake. Perfect to relax or get active in Snowdonia National Park.

Nestled on a working farm, this charming stone-built barn on the border of Snowdonia National Park provides a cosy retreat for four humans and two pups. With an enclosed garden and far-reaching rural views, it offers friends or family a memorable escape with their canine companions.

Hang your coats, wipe muddy boots and paws, then step into the inviting open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The well-equipped kitchen area is perfect for preparing meals with local purchases, before gathering around the dining table to enjoy a meal together and plan your upcoming adventures. After a day of exploration, unwind on the sofa, with Rover at your feet, while watching your favourite Freeview TV/DVD programs. When it’s time to retire, choose from two twin bedrooms, both finished in neutral tones for a restful night’s sleep. A stylishly tiled shower room completes this welcoming home. Outside, take advantage of the elevated location with a morning coffee at the picnic bench on the enclosed patio, overlooking the scenic countryside and the winding river in the distance. On a warm evening, light the charcoal BBQ for an al fresco dining experience. Explore designated footpaths in the farmland and stroll down to the River Dee, with plenty of sights, sounds and smells to entertain curious hounds along the way.

Just 3.5 miles away, Bala provides an array of cafes, pubs, shops, a swimming pool, and the largest natural lake in Wales. Enjoy activities such as boating, lakeside strolls, or a ride on the steam railway with Fido by your side. Located on the southern tip of Snowdonia National Park, the area boasts abundant footpaths, cycling routes, superb fishing, and a variety of activities amid stunning scenery. Adventurous hounds might like to tackle a hike to the top of Mount Snowdon (30 miles), and for the less athletic, the Snowdon Mountain Railway will whisk you and your furry friend to the top with ease.

This cottage was excellent for myself and my wife (a wheelchair user). Smooth tarmaced parking place and gently ramp up into the house (flat access). Plenty of space once inside, and the floor was fine for the chair. We stuck a loo frame and a shower seat in the car as we booked so late (the day before we came) that we didn't have time to ask if weRead more could borrow them. Beautiful views, very peaceful, good insulaton between the cottages. A lovely week. Thank you. Hide
