This newly built cottage is the perfect getaway to relax and explore this wonderful region with the bonus of a lovely outside area – it’s a great base for exploring the Lake District.

Escape the hustle and bustle, and take two delighted dogs with you on a trip to Cumbria. This two-bedroom property, which sleeps four guests and could be ideal for a family or two couples looking to escape together, is a paws-down winner for canine visitors to this corner of the country. From the recently completed cottage, step straight out on country walks to set your furry friend’s tail wagging. Enjoy days out in the Lake District National Park, approximately 2 miles away. Make your way back to the terraced abode to unwind the courtyard garden with your happy hound by your side.

Watch ears prick up as you approach this Cumbrian bolthole that will be your home from home for the next few days. Wander inside with your cheerful chum at your heel to discover its bright, modern interior, with an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Dish up doggy dinners in the kitchen area and find all you need here to prepare tasty meals for everyone else with the fresh, local produce you have bought in Cartmel. Head over to the comfortable seating to chat about your day, giving your furry friend some attention and perhaps finding your favourite programme on TV. Also downstairs is a WC. Bid your pet goodnight then make your way upstairs to one of the two king-size rooms. These each have an en-suite shower room and a TV. Let your happy hound out into the garden in the morning and enjoy breakfast out here too on warm days. You’ll also find parking for two cars.

Head 1.5 miles down to the coast at Grange-over-Sands to stretch furry legs with a stroll along the promenade in the salty sea air. Venture 14.5 miles into the Lakes to undertake a more energetic hike, following a 14-mile loop all the way around Coniston Water.

The cottage was very lovely and cosy only down side was the internet connection not very good if you wanted to watch television as there was three televisions one of which didnt have any batteries other than that I would highly recommend

Lovely location, very quiet and peaceful and easy to access various locations in the surrounding area including windermere. The cottage was clean and tidy and well equipped. Loved being able to see the sea.

A lovely, comfortable, clean and well-equipped property. Good parking facilities. Ideal property for visitors with a dog. The elevated location gives beautiful sunset views over Morecambe Bay and the hills in the evening. A little remote, but a comfortable 25 minutes walk into Cartmel village if the weather is fair and only 5/7 minutes in a taxi (cRead more5). Grange-over -Sands is easily accessible.
