Enjoy exploring the Fasque Castle Estate with deer park, woodland and an abundance of wildlife around you. The perfect setting to enjoy a romantic escape or enjoy time with friends and family.
A mile or so from the historic village of Fettercairn and guarding the entrance to the Fasque Estate, this cosy rural bolthole is perfectly set up to host a small family longing to immerse themselves in the natural wonders found between the Cairngorms National Park and the eastern Scottish coastline. Set in an estate that is home to a bounty of wildlife and a deer park, it is the perfect base for walkers, cyclists, naturalists and anyone else who just wants to put the outside world on pause. The lodge has welcoming living areas, while hundreds of acres of woodland and parkland nearby are ready for children and dogs to explore.
The lounge has an open fire with comfortable seating for the whole group to gather around for a movie night or a favourite board game. Family favourites of a different kind can be conjured in the kitchen/diner, an ideal setting to plan the day’s activities over breakfast. Along the hallway, close to the family bathroom, both of the stylish king-size bedrooms contain feature fireplaces. The substantial grounds are where otters swim, eagles soar, red squirrels hop and deer roam, their woods and streams just waiting to be discovered.
1 mile from the cottage, the historic village of Fettercairn has a pretty market square featuring a Royal Arch which commemorates the visit of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1864. Fettercairn Distillery, founded by the owner of the Fasque Estate in 1824, lies 2 miles away and is a must for lovers of Scotland’s favourite tipple. The edge of the Cairngorms National Park, where breathtaking lochs and glens that can be enjoyed on foot or two wheels abound, is 18 miles away.
