This quirky and unique former Post Office dating back to the 19th century is perfect for a family getaway, with raised balcony, hot tub and splendid loch and Munro views to enjoy.
This former post office sits on the banks of Loch Tay and offers spectacular views out over the waters to the hills and countryside beyond. With up to four canine companions welcome to join your group of ten get-together, no member of the family will be left behind when exploring the inspiring Scottish Highlands. Return from your walkies and those guests on two legs can soothe aching muscles in the hot tub.
This spacious detached home has a reverse-level layout to make the most of those incredible views. The three downstairs bedrooms (two doubles and a king-size) are light and airy, finished in neutral tones, and have plush inviting beds for sleepy heads. Upstairs, two further bedrooms (a twin and a double) continue the bright and breezy theme, and there's a wonderful lounge/diner that opens onto a spacious balcony complete with panoramic views of the loch and dramatic landscape beyond. Enjoy a meal alfresco, making the most of the patio's BBQ, or just sit back and take in the scenery from the comfort of the balcony. Alternatively, enjoy a relaxing soak in the bubbling hot tub while Fido explores the fully fenced garden.
You’ll be located in the pretty crofting village of Fearnan, with Loch Tay right on your doorstep which offers an excellent range of water sports, including cruising and sailing. The cottage is on the border of the Tay Forest Park and is conveniently located halfway between the Cairngorms National Park and Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, so the opportunities for walks that get tails wagging are near endless. The picturesque village of Kenmore (3.5 miles) offers a great range of amenities, including the Scottish Crannog Centre, restaurants, friendly pubs, and many shops. The bustling picture-postcard town of Aberfeldy is 9 miles away and home to the famed Dewar’s whiskey distillery, where a tour or a tasting is a must.
