With a view across Beadnell Bay, this charming fisherman’s cottage has been tastefully updated to make a lovely retreat for families, couples and friends seeking a relaxing getaway along the Northumberland coast. Providing fresh and cosy accommodation for up to five guests, the cottage also has space for a pet dog to join you as you enjoy days by the sea or head inland to explore the countryside. Within 100 metres of the pet-friendly beach at Beadnell Bay, this charming hideaway features wooden beams, panelled walls, a stone fireplace, and a second-floor observation room looking out towards the sea.
Entering the cottage, you will be greeted by the stylish kitchen which has a range of useful equipment and a handy breakfast bar. The cheerful lounge/diner features a Smart TV, a sociable dining table, plenty of seating, an open fire in a stone surround, and wall panelling coming from the first-class lounge of Cunard’s flagship Berengaria in 1938. On the first floor you will find a family bathroom and three bedrooms: a sweet single, a tranquil twin and a lovely king-size room overlooking the bay. A narrow staircase leads up to the observatory room occupying the second floor: with easy chairs and binoculars, this is a cosy space to sit back, catch up with a book, or take in the views over the bay towards Dunstanburgh Castle. Outside, there’s a sheltered low-walled garden with a picnic table, offering a charming space for a morning coffee with your canine pal by your side.
From the garden gate, a short walk leads down to the sandy, horseshoe-shaped and dog-welcoming beach. The coastal path leads south towards pet-friendly beaches including Newton Haven, Embleton Bay and Craster, all within 10 miles. Your pet can join you exploring the impressive ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle (9.5 miles).
