Enjoy a coastal break at Bacton in Norfolk and take one delighted dog along with you. This two-bedroom, mid-terrace, brick and flint cottage is less than 500 metres from the sandy beach, where your happy hound can leave paw prints on certain sections all year round. Sleeping up to four guests, the property is ideal for a small family and is well-positioned for access to Bacton Woods, the Norfolk Broads and the stunning beaches of North Norfolk.
Step in and leave your shoes and dog leads in the vestibule before wandering through into the open-plan lounge/diner. Fire up the wood burner so your furry friend can warm himself after his dip in the sea or long woodland walk then head through to the adjoining kitchen. Feed Fido his dinner then whip up a delicious meal for everyone else. You also have a washing machine in here to help you manage any damp clothing or towels. Set the table then find a film to watch later on the Smart TV/DVD while Fido stretches out, exhausted from all the fun. The family bathroom is also at this level while your two bedrooms are on the first floor. One of these is a double and the other is a twin. After a good night’s sleep, take your faithful friend to stretch his legs then return home to relax out in the enclosed courtyard until it’s time to head off on another adventure. Parking at this cottage is on the road, subject to availability.
Head out from Bacton along the Norfolk Coast Path. Attempt the 10-mile stretch to Waxham, where your pal can run free at any time of the year. Or, make a trip to the Jacobean Felbrigg Hall, 11 miles away, where your chum can explore the attractive grounds and gardens with you.
